Doulos
Discovery is a non-profit, private school working to educate and
disciple servant leaders in the Dominican Republic.
Practically, this
means:
Equipping
students by providing a quality education aimed at developing
leadership and critical thinking skills.
Discipleship
of students by providing solid Christian staff committed to the
integration of Biblical truths into daily life where living
Christ is norm.
Expeditionary
Learning is the fundamental educational philosophy of Doulos
where rich and varied hands-on experiences provide a unique and
practical approach to learning and applying one’s knowledge to
real life. We utilize the teaching practices of Outward Bound’s
Expeditionary Learning.
Service
is an integral part of the Doulos culture as we build links
between school, home and community through daily activities,
guided service projects and mission outreaches. Christian ethics
are a revolutionary set of ideals and are an undergirding
cornerstone to Doulos’ service learning program.
Impacting
the Dominican Republic for Christ by providing the necessary
infrastructure guaranteeing students access to continued post
high school education, equipping them for future roles in the
country’s leadership, whether it be private sector, ministry or
government service.
